TBC Gallery hosted the exhibition “My Robert Frost” by Georgian artist Olesia Tavadze. Presentation of the same title was held in the exhibition space, which was published by the joint project of TBC and publishing house “Cezanne”.
More than 50 works in the gallery are created in 2015-2017 and reflects recent artistic searches of the artist. Robert Lee Frost, the greatest American poet of the twentieth century, appeared in the epicenter of these searches. The poet-philosopher whose creativity relates to the fundamental issues of human existence and the individual’s unique soliloquy in the world, has a special place in world culture.
The presented works are graphic and illustrations of the poetic works of Frost. In essence, in this cycle of graphic works, the painter is the illustrator and interpreter of these works simultaneously. On the series created by the extraordinary artistic experiment, the author exclaims: “The way to my Robert Frost is to have a whole life … Meeting with Frost was like a surprise, first look of love. All the idols suddenly step back. The fountain was dedicated to Frost. ”
Artist and writer Olesia Tavadze works in painting and graphics. He has illustrated many books and books. Creates handmade dolls and copyright costumes. His children’s book “Bursunsul and Paskualina” won the 2007 International Association Competition “Step by Step” and published in 16 languages worldwide. The two collections of the prose miniatures of Olesia Tavadze – “Sad Mark” and “Walnut winds” are published in Georgian. Among the exhibitions of the artist is especially remarkable in the personal exhibition of 2013 in Karvasla, whose album – “Olesia Tavadze’s World” was printed in the same year.
