US Ambassador to Elizabeth Rudd and Kakha Kiknavelidze, Director General of the Bank of Georgia, announced the announcement of competition on Fulbright Masters Program.
The scholarship program envisages full funding of the US University’s Master Degree Program in all disciplines. The co-financing of the Bank of Georgia implies the allocation of funds from the Fulbright Graduate Program in Georgia, each year to fund two additional students who want to continue their studies in business administration, information technology or engineering. With the support of Bank of Georgia two students will travel to the US next year. These students will be selected as a result of the current competition in the fall of 2018.
“The aim of the Bank of Georgia is to provide scholarships for studying abroad in Georgia and supporting various educational projects, which can give more people the opportunity to get the best education. Support for education is a significant priority for the Bank of Georgia and the bank has implemented many activities in this direction. Cooperation with the US Government and the Ministry of Education together with the funding of Fulbright Scholarship will give you two more younger students every year to get financing in the US’s two year master’s degree program, “said Kakha Kiknavelidze, General Director of Bank of Georgia.
With the co-financing of the Bank of Georgia in 2014-2017, 6 winners of the competition went to the United States to get education. In total, the amount of financing of the Fulbright project by the Bank of Georgia amounted to 560,035 GEL.
Fulbright Master Program is an open competition that administers the US Embassy in Tbilisi. The Fulbright Scholarship is one of the most prestigious programs of the United States Government worldwide. Among the graduates of the program are the laureates of the Nobel Prize of the States, the leaders of the Fed and the heads of international organizations.
